A man wanted in connection with a shooting last month that injured two people has been arrested after a police search at Trippie Redd's South Florida home. TMZ reports the Davie Police Department executed a search warrant at Trippie Redd's house Tuesday. The picture got clearer when the Miami Police Department confirmed that Braveone Jones, alias BalloutDaDon, was arrested in the operation.
Jones is wanted for a shooting outside Dukunoo Jamaican Kitchen in Miami on September 15. He was at Trippie Redd's property when they served the search warrant, and police say he was involved in the incident. He was later arrested after being found on the property. Jones now faces two charges of attempted murder. According to Miami-Dade County's online records, he remains in custody on a separate case with two counts of attempted second-degree murder with a firearm. The records list bail at $15,000 for each charge.
The City of Miami was the lead agency investigating the shooting, assisted by the Davie Police Department in executing the search warrant. The development provides more context to Tuesday's police activity at the property. The September 15 shooting left an 18-year-old man and a 23-year-old man with gunshot wounds, according to NBC Miami. Footage of the aftermath quickly circulated online, showing people rushing to help the injured before paramedics arrived.
The two victims were treated, officials later said. When they arrived at Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center, they were reported in serious but stable condition. Authorities have released little information about what happened immediately before the shooting.
The legal developments also shine a light on BalloutDaDon, who has been building himself a reputation as an up-and-coming rapper. He is signed to HAB ENT and has dropped multiple projects this year, including Yopstar and Yopstar Lyfestyle 2.
The rapper has also appeared on a stream with N3on, further building his presence in the music and online entertainment space. However, the shooting investigation and charges against Jones are the focus for now. His arrest at Trippie Redd's property is a significant development in the case that started with a shooting in Miami on September 15.
