SPELLES wanders into life's biggest questions with "Beginnings and Endings"

Los Angeles dream pop duo SPELLES return with "Beginnings and Endings," a new song that digs into the deeper questions about existence, truth, and the meaning of life. With Kathryn Baar and Luc Laurent at the helm, the duo crafts an otherworldly experience that feels tailor-made for reflection and contemplation.

Baar and Laurent wrote and produced "Beginnings and Endings." The track explores questions of a higher truth and deeper meaning in life, painting a broad emotional and conceptual canvas. From that, Baar started writing, and after hearing her play it, Laurent suggested changing the rhythm. That shift helped the song come together quickly, from a musical idea to "Beginnings and Endings."

SPELLES poses those questions without reducing them to simple answers. "Beginnings and Endings" offers space to linger with uncertainty and contemplate the larger forces that mold our sense of being. The song's quality gives the themes room to breathe. "Beginnings and Endings" takes a simple piano start and expands it into a larger reflection on life, truth, and meaning, showing how a small creative spark can grow into something much bigger.
