British singer-songwriter and guitarist AlienBlaze is bringing a different kind of energy to the table with her latest release, following her second single of 2023, the collaboration "Lovesick" with OmenXiii. "Enemies With Benefits" turns the messy side of relationships into something bold, empowered, and undeniably compelling.
AlienBlaze dives deeper into the complicated changes that can shape relationships, friendships, and everything in between with "Enemies With Benefits." The song takes inspiration from Elton John's "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" and evokes the feeling of leaving something behind and enjoying the freedom of moving on.
AlienBlaze leans into her so-called "villain era" with "Enemies With Benefits," and it's part of the fun. It's a confident next step for an artist clearly enjoying the freedom to explore a sharper side of her songwriting, leaving plenty of room for listeners to find their own version of the story.
Alicia Moore, Joe Housley, and Charlie Martin wrote the track, and Charlie Martin and Joe Housley produced it. Together, they create a release that feels inseparable from AlienBlaze's creative direction at this point in her journey.
