According to reports, Memphis creator BenDaDonnn was arrested by police in College Station, Texas, after the Texas A&M-Arkansas football game. Police arrested BenDaDonnn on suspicion of evading arrest or detention. Police in College Station said officers were clearing a street in front of a bar of people when a group wouldn’t leave. Police attempted to arrest Ben during the incident, but his security allegedly slapped an officer’s hands, causing the officer to shock him with a taser.
A video of the incident has started to surface online, seemingly taken by FearBuck and posted to Twitter. The footage shows several police officers detaining BenDaDonnn later that night, after the use of the taser was reported. The incident took place after BenDaDonnn attended the Texas A&M vs. Arkansas football game Saturday, October 3. He posted that he attended the game on his Instagram Story, but the events that followed happened much later in College Station’s Northgate area, after the game.
BenDaDonnn had not publicly commented on the incident at the time of publication. Details are limited, and no further information explains what could have led to the confrontation beyond what the College Station Police Department reported. The legal status of the incident is also uncertain. Some online sources have described what happened as an arrest, but the available information does not clarify what happened or whether further charges or other legal issues are involved.
The TMZ report mentioned the charge of evading arrest or detention, but the police department’s statement provided more detail about what resulted in the use of the taser. The incident has gone viral online largely thanks to the video that captures BenDaDonnn in captivity. But with the creator yet to make a public statement and few details on the circumstances, questions remain about the full context of the encounter.
What started as a documented appearance by BenDaDonnn at the Texas A&M vs. Arkansas game turned into a very different kind of night in Northgate. The incident has continued to circulate on video, but little is known beyond what police have reported and what social media videos show.
