From pain to power Neela turns survival into strength on “You’ll Never Know”

Neela's latest single, "You'll Never Know," digs deep into her personal traumatic experiences, transforming long buried emotional scars into a moving declaration of resilience and self reinvention. Created during the isolation period, this work was co-developed by Neela alongside producers.

Akeel Henry and Kevin Ekofo center their narrative on domestic violence and the lasting emotional trauma that follows such harm. Rejecting the common narrative frameworks of vengeance or lingering resentment that typically frame stories of this type, the work draws on unflinchingly honest openness to focus on.

The necessary process of rebuilding oneself after suffering pain. For most artists, the isolation period served as a creative turning point for Neela, it held the added significance of enabling profound personal reflection and transformation. It balances the unique intimacy of Neela's personal lived experience with the universal empathetic resonance that can move and connect with broad mainstream audiences.
