METTE releases new single "FOR THE PEOPLE"

Los Angeles dancer and singer-songwriter Mette Towley, also known as METTE, releases "FOR THE PEOPLE," her first new track since "VAN GOGH." The track adds another piece to METTE's evolving musical story and brings together a team of writers and producers.

"FOR THE PEOPLE" was written by Mette Towley, Barbara Boko-Hyouyhat and Edith Nelson, and produced by DAMEDAME. The collaboration places METTE at the center of a creative process shaped by a variety of voices, giving the song a unique identity as she continues to develop her work as a performer and songwriter.

The new song is another step forward for METTE, giving listeners a new entry point into her current musical direction. Its arrival also highlights the collaborative nature of her creative process, blending her songwriting with contributions from Boko-Hyouyhat and Nelson and production by DAMEDAME. The track stands as its own addition to her catalog while clearly connecting to her previous release.

FOR THE PEOPLE introduces those hearing METTE for the first time to this new chapter, allowing them to experience another side of the Los Angeles-based artist's creative world. "VAN GOGH" followed by this song is another step in her evolution as an artist, cementing her identity as a performer who spans dance and music.
