Kiimi uncovers raw beauty after heartbreak on "Serotonin"

London-based producer Kiimi makes the complicated aftermath of heartbreak feel intimate and remarkably human on "Serotonin."  Written by Kimberley Emma Reader and produced by Jasper Tygner, the song explores the emotional fallout after an intense relationship. "Serotonin" is about what comes after, the strange quiet that settles in when those heightened emotions finally start to settle.

Kiimi also sings on vocals, adding another layer of immediacy to the recording. The vocals are deliberately lightly processed to keep their raw character. That choice becomes part of the song's identity. There's no hiding behind overproduction, and that rawness makes the emotional heart of "Serotonin" feel even closer.

"Serotonin" is about getting over a breakup and letting yourself feel all the emotions that come with it. The track lives with the discomfort, acknowledges the comedown, and finds something purifying in it. It's a raw, personal track with an unmistakably human beat.
