Feral Family reveals emotional divisions beneath the surface on "This Side of Me"

Yorkshire post-punk band Feral Family takes a dark turn with the new song "This Side of Me," a track about inner conflict, emotional turmoil, and the tragic results of hiding your demons. Written by Oscar Woods and Jamie Lowe and produced by Liam Radburn, the song explores the strain of putting on a brave face while dealing with emotions that are far more complicated underneath.

"This Side of Me" is about a person who wants to feel something again that they once felt, but also blames their inability to control their emotions. The human advantage of "This Side of Me" is that emotional contradiction. The song is about how internal struggles affect those around us, especially when emotions are hard to control.

Feral Family uses the track to explore the uncomfortable space between reality and appearance. The desire to be positive exists alongside feelings that cannot be pushed aside, the portrait of someone caught between their past, their emotions, and the consequences of their actions.

"This Side of Me" is a brutally honest glimpse of personal accountability. Feral Family is crafting a song that feels reflective, emotionally charged, and grounded in the complicated realities of human experience by focusing on inner conflict and its impact beyond the individual.
