Baby Queen takes on growing up with a "quarter life crisis"

Baby Queen's "Quarter Life Crisis" sits in the uncomfortable space of translating the collision between adulthood and lingering youth into an emotionally immediate new song. London-based South African singer-songwriter Arabella Latham, aka Baby Queen, shines a light on a highly relatable subject. Latham and Wolfgang wrote the track with King Ed, with Wolfgang and Mark Ralph producing, and it explores the feeling of carrying more responsibility while still struggling to feel grown up.

That tension is the central spark of "Quarter Life Crisis." The song exists between forward-looking and backward-looking, an unsettling acceptance that some freedom and habits of youth can no longer remain unscathed forever.

"Quarter Life Crisis" understands that the reality is messier than that. You can see life changing while feeling completely unprepared for what that change entails. "Quarter Life Crisis" makes that realization immediate and human. Baby Queen explores that uncomfortable middle ground, where responsibility increases, childhood still lingers, and the future suddenly feels very real.
