Acid Snot embrace Catalan roots and connection on "Iridescència"

The Barcelona-based melodic punk band Acid Snot opens a new chapter with "Iridescència", a song with a deeply personal sense of connection and an important first for the band. The song is the band's first Catalan-language release, adding another layer of identity to a track about free love and interpersonal relationships.

Acid Snot is made up of Àlex Aubach on vocals & bass, Oriol Batalla on drums, Eduardo Arqué on guitar, and Pablo López on guitar. The four musicians collectively produce a song that portrays the band's shared experiences offstage. "Iridescència" reflects the members' experience of living apart for five years. That time gives the track an emotional backdrop, tying the theme of relationships and human connection to an experience that affected the band as a whole.

"Iridescència" is a collective creative work by all four members, written by Aubach, Batalla, Arqué and López. Pau Oltra produced the song, adding another layer to a release that marries the band's songwriting with their personal history. "Iridescència" turns Acid Snot's first Catalan-language song into more than just a language swap. It becomes a mirror of connection, distance, relationships, and the experiences that continue to shape the band.
