Florida folk-punk singer-songwriter Seth Jude Richard, also known as S/J, shows a more personal side of his artistry with "Love So Fierce." Something extremely moving about a song that springs from the need to understand, protect, and stand by someone you love. The debut is intimate, honest, and rooted in family.
"Love So Fierce" was written for his autistic son Jensen and the struggles he and his family face as they navigate a world that can be difficult to move through. S/J places them at the heart of his first release, imbuing the song with a distinctly personal emotional weight.
It's a new chapter for Richard too. After years of touring in punk and rock bands, S/J now invites you into a more vulnerable space, focusing on the stories and experiences closest to him. Written and produced by Richard, "Love So Fierce" was created in his home studio and is the first song he ever made for his upcoming debut album, Black Magnolias.
What makes the release so compelling is its sense of purpose. This is a personal piece of songwriting tied to Richard's experience as a father. Creatively, it stems from Richard's desire to share something more personal after years of immersing himself in punk and rock.
