LANY discovers a different kind of home in "Home Is Where The Hurt Is"

LANY is back with a deeply reflective new release, "Home Is Where The Hurt Is," a song that explores the complicated relationship between pain, belonging, and the places we eventually create for ourselves. The American pop-rock duo, featuring Paul Jason Klein on vocals and guitar and Jake Clifford Goss on drums, adds a unique element to the release.

"Home Is Where The Hurt Is" seems to be based on the idea that home isn't always a physical place. Sometimes it is in the people who surround us, the connections we choose, and the spaces we build after experiences that may have left us disappointed. LANY's latest release shows how difficult experiences can help create something meaningful. The song itself carries a comforting sense of reconstruction, particularly in the idea of finding a chosen family and giving that sense of belonging to others who may need it, too.

Paul Jason Klein, Philip Plested, Peter Kelleher, Ben Kohn, and Tom Barnes wrote the song, and Mike Crossey and LANY produced it. The creative team has collaborated to create a release that feels intimate in its subject matter, but taps into the communal spirit of LANY's music and live shows. "Home Is Where The Hurt Is" lands as a thoughtful addition to LANY's catalog, turning pain into a reflection on connection, resilience, and the possibility of building a home wherever genuine belonging can be found.
